An Amazing Discovery...

House of Dorchester hot chocolate!

So, I'd had quite a miserable day if I'm honest, when my sister entered my room pitying me hugging a teddy in my PJ's watching Friends, and offered me something to cheer me up. She had her arms behind her back, turned the light on, and cried 'LOOK AT THESE BABIES'. Firstly, this cheered me up alone. My sister is one of the funniest people I know! So witty, but oh so stroppy being a 16 year old. So she shoves this little delight in my face, and I couldn't believe she had made such a significant discovery!

It's a plastic spoon melted in to chocolate in a cup shape. I had the marshmallow one, where as Paige (my sister) had the chocolate fudge. All you do is heat 200ml of milk in the microwave for 3 minutes, place the spoon fixed to chocolate in the milk, and stir until its melted off the spoon. Absolutely amazing!

I can conclude that it was DELICIOUS. It definitely cheered me up, but couldn't believe that Paige hadn't notified me of this little gem sooner! I just had to share, I would feel selfish if I hadn't haha.

I've Been Busy...

But I'm back! Its been a whole 2 weeks since my last post, but I have just been so busy recently! So I do apologise. Firstly I'll just explain my absence.

For Bank Holiday Easter weekend I travelled down to Liams. He was home from uni for the Easter holidays, so I went down for a visit. It's nice going to his parents house, as I only ever really get to see them when Liam goes home. They are the most caring and sweet people! I was there from Good Friday until the following Tuesday, and every single day I went shopping. The only bad attribute for visiting Liam and his family is that my bank balance dwindles rapidly. He lives in Basingstoke, which has a lovely little shopping centre, and is close to Reading. Now, Reading, in my opinion, is great for shopping! So Saturday I dragged Liam around Reading holding all my bags, and rewarded him with a TGI Friday's for dinner.

On Sunday, we woke up and ate chocolate eggs for breakfast! I was pleasantly surprised with the egg that Liam got me :D

I then popped into Asda, with his Mum (for no other reason than all other shops were closed on Easter Sunday and we needed a quick fix). Liam and I then went to see Wrath of the Titans at the cinema. I didn't really want to see it at first, I just agreed for an easy life. But I did in fact think it was quite a good story.

Monday involved more shopping with his mum and dad, and a yummy roast dinner. Tuesday I just packed my case ready to go home (yes I did take a case for only 4 days), and had a major chill before I returned to work on Wednesday.

Even though I was only in work for 3 days this week, it felt like it was a month. Usually when work is busy the week goes quite fast, but this week was definitely an exception. 5 PM on Friday finally came, however there's no rest for the wicked as I was working until 1.30am at the football club! It wasn't all bad though, as Steph agreed to give me a hand on the bar. She was absolutely fantastic seems as she hadn't worked behind a bar before, and we were ever so busy. We had a great time :)

This weekend I have been a bit down because of personal issues, and Steph sweetly took me out for the afternoon yesterday. We went to Watford for, you guessed it, more shopping. We enjoyed a nice beer and burger in Whetherspoons for lunch, then hit the Harlequin. We had a laughing fit whilst eating the most delicious ice cream, and walked along cobbles discussing Ken Barlow from Coronation Street. I love her <3

Jade has been in Spain all week, and landed back in freeeezing England last night, so we popped round for a few hours to see her before she goes back to uni today. She has so much work to do bless her!

Anyway, that's just summing up what I've been doing recently, and again i apologise for the lack of posts! I have bought so many fantastic products over the last few weeks, so I'm planning to do a BIIIG haul.

I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter!

Mini Haul

So I've had a looovely weekend! This week was such a long week, I couldn't wait 6pm on Friday. I then pondered off to Steph's house for a girly sleep over with the girls and her niece. She is adorable. Such a funny evening and a perfect way to finish off the working week :)

Saturday involved working at the football club. I spent the afternoon soaked in beer as a barrel exploded as I was changing it. Brilliant! My parents were off out for the night, so instead of sitting in bored all night I decided to host girly sleepover number 2! The girls came over, we watched The Voice and BGT and noshed on some Chinese :) This was also the night my Draw Something virginity was taken. I cannot believe it took me so long to download the app!

Sunday consisted of peanut butter and jam on toast, a cheeky Costa, a Roast dinner, Nutella hot chocolate and a good old shop with my besty. So I'm now sat here tapping away in a food coma watching the Gavin and Stacey boxset :D

So, what I purchased today...

Its Been a Little While.. And It's Starting to Look Like Summer!

This yummy little thing made my day!

I'm not blogging as regularly as I would like to as I've been getting home quite late from work and after doing bits and bobs. Firstly, I just need to say, THE HUNGER GAMES IS EQUALLY AS AMAZING AS THE BOOK. I went to see the preview on Thursday after work with my fellow fanatic Steph and Abbey as we just couldn't wait any longer. I wasn't expecting to get so emosh, it was just AMAZING! Cannot wait for the second film, but I'm sure that's going to be quite a wait yet :(

After that outburst, I'll move on to what else I have been up to the past week. On Wednesday, I finally caught up with my NVQ assessor after she had been putting off seeing me for 2 months. I weren't very happy with the lack of contact and generally being left in the dark for so long. Now I have plenty of work to be getting on with though, so I've been doing bits and bobs of it this week.

Thursday was of course the highlight of my week, with the long anticipated Hunger Games and all. Our local shopping centre is open until 7pm on a Thursday, so Steph and I had planned a whole list of make-up that we wanted to get our hands on. To our disappointment, Boots and Superdrug were already closed by the time we got there :( So we had to make do with Debenhams.

Friday consisted of me having to walk 3 miles from work into town, as my stupid bus didn't turn up for the second time that week. I am definitely making a complaint, as I didn't get home until 8pm! On a Friday too! I did then pop over to Stephs where I met her new nephew for the first time. I must say he is a cutey. I then had a 5 year old paint my nails, all in the name of fun.

Saturday was a bit of a rush. I was rudely awoken at the crack of dawn by someone mowing their lawn! In hind sight though I am grateful of that as i wouldn't have had the time to do everything I needed if i had got up any later. I popped into town to get a few bits, then had work at the Football Club in the afternoon. I also had the best slushy ever after deciding it was appropriate in the lovely weather we had at the weekend. Work was quite fun, weren't too busy so sat out in the sun with an ice pop and a cold beer watching the footy :)

I arrived in Hatfield to Liams on Saturday evening, and was so tired I fell asleep until 1am. He must think I am so fun haha. I woke up but couldn't actually go back to sleep until about 6am, and woke up shortly after surprisingly feeling fresh as a daisy. Sunday was again gorgeous weather, so the boyfriend and I went for a nice pub lunch. He was feeling a bit under the weather, so we popped in to Superdrug to get him so meds. I of course took this as an opportunity to peruse the make up aisle. This is what i left with -

Firstly, let me just apologise for the terrible photo quality. I only had my phone on me. I bought the blue (shade 9) and black (shade 2) shades of nail polish from the MUA range. The only black nail polish I have is the Barry M Croc and Nail Effects, so thought I may as well buy a plain black one. I wouldn't normally go for the blue shade, but figured why not! As I didn't have a blue polish in my collection :)

I put the Pretty Quick Nail Drying Spray in my basket at the last minute. It was looking directly at me from the till. Very good Superdrug, very good! I was forced to make an impulsive decision with the power of marketing. I'm glad I did though, as this actually works! Not a smudge even only after a minute or so. This is a God send for me, as I always have to re-paint after forgetting that my nails aren't quite dry yet. I was super happy with this product :)

The Pretty Quick Instant Nail Polish Remover is actually something I purchased a week or so ago. Again, this little pot of goodness is amazing! It has a sponge in that is soaked in the remover, which you stick your nail and whirl it around a tad, and voila! Polish instantly removed! I was absolutely amazed by this, as usually it takes me so long to remove all the varnish without leaving some on the sides of the nail which can be tricky to get to. Chan = amazed.

I teamed my new blue MUA polish (shade 9) with my Barry M Berry I/C. Just a quick evening fix as I had work the next day.

I really liked this combo :) The blue polish was very sheer though, so I did need to use about 4 coats.

Finally, I made Liam walk all the way to the shop to get some munchies with me :) We love food!
So I'm off to watch some Friends, drink a cuppa and have a good gorge on this lot. Sorry for the hefty post! I'm going to try to blog more regularly. Have a fandabadooby week!

A Little Update On What I've Been Up To The Past Few Days…

So as I mentioned in my last post, I went out with a few of my best ladies on Friday night. Initially, the plan was to pop in to Argos on the way home to pick up a DVD player (as my one bit the dust L) and snuggle up watching films for the night. However, Jade has a great power of persuasion, meaning I was rushing home to get some stuff to wear and was on my way to good old Hatty.

Like a wally, she forgot to buy tickets so we weren’t even sure if we would get in! Luckily this wasn’t the case so we had a good old St Paddys themed night. With real leprechauns and everything!

I then made Liam (the man in my life) come to meet me on the way home and sent him out to buy me some munchies. I gave him a list of what I wanted… and he came back with a 6 pack of milky bar yoghurts. Not quite what I asked for; and he woke me up at half 4 in the morning to ask if I wanted one. Silly Billy.

Saturday morning involved a mad dash to get my Mumma a mothers day present. And then off to work at the football club. The story with this is, I am deemed as the bar manager at ATFC, where my daddy is the Chairman of the football club. This all sounds lot a more professional than it is. I cant really class it as work, I quite enjoy it if I'm honest. And it’s nice to help daddy out J

Unfortunately one of my best girls was taken ill at the weekend and was in hospital L she came home so the girls and I popped over to see her to try and make her feel a bit better. We had popping candy and KitKats, nearly a party!

Sunday was a nice chilled day. I made a treasure hunt for mummy to do to find her presents J then made her breakfast and IRONED. That’s love. We then popped round to see my nanny, whose house I adore. It feels so vintage and really reminds me of my childhood. The afternoon was spent cooking and indulging in a roast dinner. Yum!

So that was my weekend… was quite a nice balance. This week I'm really looking forward to The Hunger Games with my fellow fanatic Steph! She is my bestest buddy and we love the Hunger Games too much. The wait has been killing us. I'm so excited :D

The rest of my week is pretty boring. Just work, work at the football club and NVQ work. Hoping the weekend comes around fast J
